Manheim
New England hosted a “green” vehicle sale, that was designed
to give dealers direct access to fuel-efficient vehicles to help meet
the rising demand by their customers for more eco-friendly vehicles.
The sale was part of the Recycle and Receive Program, which benefits
the Boy Scouts of America Troop #99 of North Dartmouth, Mass. This
sale supports “Go Green with Manheim,” a companywide,
long-term conservation effort that focuses on a variety of areas,
including water-based paint, water treatment and conservation, energy
management, and alternative energy.
Of the 70 vehicles consigned, including hybrids from GE and Hertz,
60 were sold during the “green” sale at the 12-lane facility
located in North Dighton , Mass. “We’re seeing a greater
demand for fuel-efficient vehicles than ever before, and this sale
gave dealers easy access to the inventory their customers are demanding,”
said Tim Hoegler, General Manager at Manheim New England. Tim began
working with the company right out of college and has been there for
27 years. He also stated to Dealer Trade News “ I love the idea
of bringing all types of people together to do business and the challenge
of something new everyday.” “ We would love to be thought
of in the same league as Southern Manheim or NADE.”
“The green vehicle sale was the perfect way to help increase
awareness of Hybrid vehicles. “This sale is a great way for
Manheim New England to better serve our dealers by offering them an
easier way to find the fuel-efficient vehicles their customers want,”
said Chris Moulding, marketing manager at Manheim New England. “In
addition, we get to help out our community by supporting our local
Boy Scout troop.”
Manheim New England is the only Manheim auction in the area and with
the knowledge that there are about 10 other auctions within a 2.5
hour radius, they have to treat the customers as family to separate
themselves from the others. By offering a warm, friendly, knowledgeable
staff that’s willing to help out no matter the size of the problem.
There are no “big” or “small” dealers at Manheim
New England, they see all of their customers as an important part
of the auction. The staff is always willing to go the extra step to
see that every customer walks away completely satisfied.
Manheim New England also has a state of the art body shop, with 10
mechanical bays, frame machines, and three car prime booths, giving
them the ability to service between 60 and 70 vehicles per day. On
the facility they have two 4-car paint booths with down draft capabilities
allowing them to paint two cars in two different colors simultaneously.
